CPD and Tendering Explained
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) now has a significant role to play in increasing the competitiveness of providers tendering for contracts with purchasers usingNHS and other health service funds. As Local Authorities take over the role of contracting from PCTs, and GP Commissioning develops, the role of CPD in the providers service offer will increase further for those tendering for health and social care contracts. Indeed the CPD requirement may spread even more widely over the coming years. For these reasons, TfC is working towards all of its courses being CPD certified.
