About TfC

TfC has developed to meet the tendering needs of a number of organisations within the new procurement environment. Although our target audience is defined in our Mission Statement the TfC Membership and those benefiting from our training and workshops encompasses organisations from very small to the largest providers in the country. We also provide help and support to statutory sector organisations - the "purchasers" - such as Supporting People Teams. In early January 2008 the Membership of TfC passed the 100 mark and during 2007  our open and In-house Workshops were attended by 2,616 people with over 99.5%  reporting being either satisfied or very satisfied with their learning experience..

 

OUR MISSION

To build the capacity of organisations and individuals working in the CARE, HOUSING, SUPPORT and VOLUNTARY SECTORS in relation to all aspects of tendering for publicly funded contracts and the public procurement process.

WE DO THIS

By providing a range of information, training and support, tailored to the needs of organisations and individuals.

Care providers and voluntary sector organisations across the UK, both large and small are loosing contracts - their core business - because they do not understand how the purchasing of public services now works. On the other hand very large, sometimes European private companies are chasing and winning contracts through the tendering process. There is now a real danger that many small organisations and providers will be forced to close, simply because they do not understand how the new tendering and procurement processes work.

TfC has been set up to fill this gap
